Located just north of Chichester, the course started at Lavant village green and was an out and back course, including a lap of Goodwood motor racing circuit, providing a nice smooth tarmac running surface.

Arriving at the village hall , I saw that Dave Arnold had hung a big vegan runners banner (home made) up on the village green. Other vegan runners present included: Jane Gant and Chris West (running for Chichester runners & ac). A quick check in the kitchen before starting race (they were providing post race catering for vegans at this one), I discovered that there were just 6 vegan sausages for the 4 runners, so priority to get back before Dave.

Chris West finished 4th in 27 mins and 49secs (same time as 3rd placed runner) so missed out on an individual prize but got a team prize. He is aged about 18 years and improving. It was a very satisfying run for myself a massive 46 seconds PB, finishing 19th overall in a time of 31mins and 47secs also gaining the Male Vet 50 1st place prize. Dave finished 30th in 32mins 38secs a disappointing time by his standard. Another solid run by Jane Gant to finish in 38mins 44 secs and 16th female, 101st overall. Over 170 runners completed the course.
